Thanks to support from Sedoc, LLC, Paws & Effect is now available for purchase on Steam! Link to Steam store page. We have also updated the version on Itch.io to match, which features several upgrades:

1) A new in-game achievement system called the Treat Jar. Unlock "treats" for the doggies by completing certain criteria and then feed them for cuteness! You can click on a locked treat for a hint and there's an in-game alert to let you know when you've unlocked it.

2) An "options" menu added to the title screen, so that you can change settings without having to be in the game proper. 

3) A new "Safe for Work" mode, accessible on the disclaimer and options screens. When turned on, SFW mode will add censorship to the brief instances of nipples in the game, in case that's something you're concerned about. That said, we don't recommend actually playing this game at work, unless you work from home!

4) A couple rounds of polish on the writing and code. We've tried to stamp out all bugs and typos, and added some new text in various places. We've also incorporated small QoL touches, like providing a time stamp and episode counter for each scene. 

Please note that 20% of Itch.io purchases will still be donated to the ASPCA. Due to the revenue cut on the Steam release (fees to the platform and publisher), we can't afford to apply that program to those sales. So if you want to buy the game and give money to help animals in need, consider buying here!
